Functional OT
Workplace Needs
Assessment
Occupational therapists (OTs) help people of all ages facing challenges like physical disabilities, long-term conditions, learning disabilities, or mental health issues.
Occupational therapists (OTs) are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and focus on helping people overcome obstacles to health, education, and employment.
Workplace Needs Assessments
SASA provides practical reports you can share with your employer to request adjustments that support your health and performance at work.
Unlike a standard “sick note,” our reports focus on what helps you stay at work or return confidently — with clear, evidence-based recommendations.
How it works
Assessment – a 60–90 min session (face-to-face or online) exploring your challenges and strengths.
Report – a clear document you can hand to your employer, outlining specific adjustments (e.g. flexible hours, sensory strategies, ergonomic equipment, workload pacing).
Follow-up – optional check-in to review how adjustments are working.
Who it’s for
Employees experiencing difficulties at work due to:
Ill health, long-term conditions, or recovery from injury
Mental health or stress-related challenges
Sensory or cognitive differences (e.g. ADHD, autism, sensory processing)
Why it helps
Gives employees a voice and evidence to show their needs are valid
Helps employers fulfil their legal duty to provide reasonable adjustments
Supports smoother returns to work and better long-term wellbeing
