The Sensory Processing Assessment

SASA offers sensory screening assessments to adults and adolescents who want to learn more about their sensory processing patterns and their effects on functional performance.

At the moment we only have the capacity to provide online and virtual assessments which you can book below. The sensory screening includes:

  • A summary report

  • A list of relevant support strategies

  • Follow-up call (additional cost - please email)

SASA Health acknowledges the challenges in accessing sensory assessments for adolescents and adults in the UK, where many NHS trusts don't provide such services, and private evaluations can be costly! Additionally, eligibility criteria and long waiting lists further hinder access to these assessments.

To address these issues, SASA Health offers a specialised sensory screening service for adolescents and adults. Our service provides immediate insights and support when traditional options fall short. By offering more affordable pricing options, we aim to make sensory assessments and interventions accessible to all, regardless of financial constraints.

The online sensory assessment is designed to provide quick access to assessment for those wanting to understand their sensory needs in more depth.  The assessment includes a written report, recommended strategies and access to an in-depth PDF to further inform you about strategies.

Please remember the report will:

  1. It will NOT provide a diagnosis. Firstly, Sensory Processing Disorder is not a formal diagnosis within current diagnostic manuals (DSM-V or ICD-11). This report can however be used to inform a potential diagnosis.

  2. The report will not be sufficient evidence to include occupational therapy hours or input in an ECHP (Section F).  However, the report could be submitted as evidence to include sensory needs and within an EHCP in the UK (Section B).  Depending on the results, it may also be sufficient to request provision further assessment in Section F.

  3. The report is not designed to be used as evidence at a tribunal.
